Crawl space encapsulation is the process of sealing a crawl space from the outside using a thick, overlapping polyethylene plastic barrier on the walls and floors. The purpose of encapsulation is to prevent leaks, mold, pest infestations, and humidity, and turn a damp space into a dry one.
